Man charged with drug supply offences

A man has been charged with drug supply offences after we found cocaine and cash in Rugeley.

Wesley Gill, 43, of Rugeley, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, possession of criminal property and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

It comes after officers from our major and organised crime team stopped a car in the area yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 26 August). We found cocaine and £100 inside.

We then searched a home in the area and found more cocaine, as well as £1,700.

Gill is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Wednesday 27 August).

As part of Operation Target, we’ve arrested more than 350 people in the last 12-months alone as part of our ongoing efforts to tackle high harm crime in local communities.
